I have not been using twitter too much of late. That is one area that I need to work on more in 2010. I did good for a while, but have let it go too long. I like your idea about moving them to your list. I will also work on that when I get back to Twitter. Mike, I have enjoyed your Blog Tour.

You've made some great points here, Mike! In support of your argument, all of my testing on Twitter shows the three most likely actions for your followers to take are to click to watch a video, click to read a blog post and to click for a free report. Further, it shows that those who DO click through to a salespage are much less likely to convert to customers than say traffic from the search engines...

So for optimum results from your Twitter marketing, use videos and reports behind squeeze pages to build your list, and direct links to build the traffic to your blogs.

Yep... we need to move our Twitter "followers" onto our own list. Sure we can have thousands of followers, but without them being on our own list, we have no control over it.
